Hi there!
My name is Alyza (ah-lie-zuh) and I am a visual artist and self-titled dessert enthusiast living and working out of Bulverde, Texas. My pronouns are she/hers.
I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking & Art History from the Kansas City Art Institute in May of 2019.
In my work I seek to move from 2D to 3D back to 2D working with fabric to create ‘plates’ that become flattened again via the process of printmaking. The overlap where preciousness meets destruction is where I find the most interest in my work; to overwork an idea to the point of exhaustion and then be able to reel it back in is what excites me about making art.
