The body of work I made for this show represents an investigation into connecting my printmaking studio practice with my fiber studio practice. The sewing part of my practice is fairly new, and the work made takes on a non-traditional, non-functional essence where I am doing more drawing with thread than making of quilts. The hemmed quilted objects are rendered non-utilitarian through their scale and the process of printing other pieced works turns these from objects of comfort into printing matrices.
